NIP Data and Computation Research Group

The Data and Computation (D&C) Research Group, under the GANAP (Gravity, Astrophysics, Nuclear and Particle Physics) laboratory of the National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines Diliman (UP-NIP), was established in August 2020 by Dr. Reinabelle “Reina” Reyes.

The group pursues curiosity-driven and innovative research in the fields of data-driven astrophysics and computational physics, leveraging open data and open-source machine learning and artificial intelligence tools for a broad range of applications, including gravitational-wave astronomy, cosmology, and data for social good.
